Melnik Pyramids
One of the most attractive nature sights in Southwestern Bulgaria are Melnik Pyramids. They consist of sand stone and get amazing colours in the sun light.
Melnik pyramids are natural rocky formings. They are situated in the foot of the South-East region of Pirin Mountain. Their slopes are from sand stone and on the top of them there are coniferous plants. Some of the pyramids are almost 100m high. These sand stone pyramids are nature sights of Melnik-the smallest town in Bulgaria. They rise up to the old houses and give the town a specific view.
