The Rammed Stones are rocky phenomena situated near the city of Varna. The stones were formed by erosion about 50 million years ago. The rocks’ structure is compounded from dead cockles, sea species and fossils. It is believed these nature sights were a place of worship or used of sacred rituals by Thracians and later by Slavonic and ancient Bulgarians.
